Twelve months, four seasons, and the four calendar words around them: de maand, het jaar, volgende maand, vorige maand. The months are the easiest set in Dutch for an English speaker, since eleven of the twelve are near-identical.

Questions
Why do so many months end in -i?
Januari, februari, juni and juli keep the Latin ending that English dropped. It is the main thing separating the Dutch spelling from the English one, and the reason those four are the ones people get wrong in writing.
Are the months capitalised?
No. Dutch keeps months, days and languages lowercase, so januari mid-sentence is correct and the games mark it that way. That puts it with English rather than with German.
