The full run from nul to honderd, then the landmarks past it: tweehonderd, duizend, een miljoen. Dutch names the unit before the ten and writes the whole thing as one word, so 21 is eenentwintig, one-and-twenty.

Questions
What are the two dots in tweeëntwintig?
A trema, and it is not an umlaut. It marks where one syllable ends and the next begins, so twee-en-twintig is not read as a single vowel run. Dutch uses it whenever gluing words together would otherwise create a misleading vowel pair.
Why is 80 tachtig rather than achttig?
It kept an older prefix that the other tens lost. Tachtig is the odd one out among veertig, vijftig, zestig, zeventig and negentig, and it has to be learned rather than derived.
Is Dutch back to front like German?
Yes, and identically. Eenentwintig is one-and-twenty, negenennegentig is nine-and-ninety. If you already have this from German it transfers directly; if not, it is the one thing in the set worth drilling until it is automatic.
