Italian basic phrases game

Seventeen phrases that each do one job: introduce yourself, admit you did not follow, ask the price, ask for the bill, ask for help. All of them use the polite Lei form, which is what you want with anyone you have just met.

Five games take this set. Whole clauses are too long for the grid and spelling games, so Flooded Hold is the one to play: it shows a phrase against an English meaning and asks whether they match.

Questions

Why is there an apostrophe in Dov'è?

Dove loses its final e in front of è, and the apostrophe marks the join. Dov'è il bagno? is where is the bathroom. Italian elides like this constantly, which is why the written form so often has fewer letters than the words it is built from.

Vorrei or voglio?

Vorrei. It is the conditional, I would like, and it is what you use to order. Voglio means I want and lands as blunt in a bar or a shop.
