Do I need to know any Italian first?
No. Every game shows the English and asks you to pick, judge or spell the Italian. Question words is the smallest set anywhere on this site at eight words, which makes it the easiest place to start.
Is Italian spelling easier than French or German?
For these games, yes. Italian is close to phonetic, so the spelling round is fair on almost every set here, including the numbers. The accents on perché and ventitré are the main thing to watch.
