Five games take this set. Kraken Escape suits it best, because it shows a greeting against an English meaning and asks whether they match, which is the judgement the two goodbyes actually need.

Questions

Annyeonghi gaseyo or annyeonghi gyeseyo?

Gaseyo means go in peace and is for whoever is leaving. Gyeseyo means stay in peace and is for whoever is staying. Leaving a shop, you say gyeseyo to the staff and they say gaseyo to you. English collapses both into goodbye.

How formal is annyeonghaseyo?

It is the safe middle, polite enough for almost anyone. Annyeong on its own is casual and for friends or children. Annyeonghasimnikka is the formal register you hear in announcements, on the news and in the military.
