Twelve months, four seasons, and the four calendar words around them: o mês, o ano, o mês que vem, o mês passado. Note that the Brazilian seasons run opposite to the northern ones, so o verão lands in December.

What is the ç in março doing?
Making the c sound like an s. Without the cedilla, marco is a landmark or a frame and sounds with a hard c. It is the clearest example in this set of an accent that changes the word rather than decorating it.
Are the months capitalised?
No. Portuguese keeps months, days and languages lowercase, so janeiro mid-sentence is correct and the games mark it that way.
