Final and heavy in Brazil. Common in Portugal

Tudo bem, and who you are talking to

Tudo bem is a question and a complete answer. Someone says tudo bem, you say tudo bem back, and the greeting is finished.

Brazil uses você for almost everyone, formal and informal alike, which makes it simpler than Spanish or French. For real formality, use o senhor to a man and a senhora to a woman.

Portugal uses tu for friends and você more sparingly, where it can sound distant rather than polite.

Adeus is worth care. In Brazil it carries a sense of finality, so tchau or até logo is what you want for an ordinary goodbye.
