French colours game

Twelve colours plus four shades built from them: bleu clair, bleu foncé, vert clair, rouge foncé. Once you have clair and foncé, the palette roughly doubles without a single new word.

All seven games take this set. Grid Hack and The Vault both suit it, because the colour names are short: the only two that need care are marron, with its double r, and turquoise.

Questions

Do French colours change with the noun?

Most do: vert becomes verte for a feminine noun and verts in the plural. The games use the dictionary form, the one you would look up. Marron and orange are the exceptions that never change at all.

Where does the colour go in a sentence?

After the noun, not before it. Une voiture rouge, not une rouge voiture. That is the opposite of English and worth fixing early.
