Do I need to know any German first?
No. Every game shows the English and asks you to pick, judge or spell the German. Days of the week and question words are the two smallest sets, at thirteen and twelve words, so they are the gentlest way in.
Which set is the hardest?
Numbers, because German says them back to front. Einundzwanzig is one-and-twenty, and reading a phone number aloud stays awkward until that flip is automatic.
